Caregiver Educational Needs

Pressure Injuries (also known as “bed sores” and “pressure ulcers”) are a common problem for people who have problems with mobility or sensation. Pressure injuries can delay or complicate the recovery process. Individuals who experience pressure injuries and care for those with pressure injuries experience stress and need information to help them manage pressure injuries. We are currently studying the perspectives of individuals who have had pressure injuries, unpaid caregivers who have looked after individuals with pressure injuries and healthcare professionals who have worked with individuals with pressure injuries to help inform the development of educational resources.
